The Institute for Community, Youth & Family Services, Inc. (The Institute) is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization serving Alabama for more than 16 years. We are a nationally recognized non-profit organization providing social and economic development services in throughout Alabama.
We practice a holistic approach to care, offering comprehensive support services to at-risk youth, unemployed and under-employed persons, seniors, single parents and low-income individuals.
The Institute’s mission is to provide resources, economic development and hope to Alabama’s neediest communities. Our programs serve over 600 at risk citizens each year.
The approach to care ensures that every need is met and enabling no excuses for Alabama residents to succeed.
The Institute offers a number of community programs including: emergency food and clothing assistance, crisis intervention, community service opportunities, youth mentoring, skills training and education programs, emergency housing, life-skills and job placement/training.
We have been the recipient of numerous funding opportunities to provide community programs.
The Institute is currently operating The BHAM SAFE Program, ACE YOUTHBUILD, The HEMP Program, Grant Writing Training and Sisters of Service.
